They scrolled too far in my camera roll
You showed someone one photo, and they kept swiping. It happens to everyone. The fix is to keep the photos you don't want seen out of your camera roll entirely, so there's nothing to swipe into.
Right now
- It's done. Don't make it bigger than it was.
- Move anything else you wouldn't want seen out of Photos today, while you're thinking about it.
So it can't happen again
- Import private photos into a vault. Mavaul encrypts them with AES-256 and keeps them behind its own passcode.
- Let it delete the originals, then empty Recently Deleted.
- Swiping through Photos now only reaches photos you'd show anyone.
Showing one photo
On iOS you can share a single photo by AirDrop or message instead of handing over the phone. Or use Guided Access (Settings → Accessibility) to lock the phone to one app.
Questions
Is the Hidden album enough?
It stops casual swiping. But it opens with your phone passcode, and it's still in iCloud.
Will they know I use a vault?
Not from the home screen if you disguise Mavaul as a calculator. It really calculates.
