Private photos with my partner
Intimate photos deserve better than a camera roll that anyone can swipe, a Hidden album the phone passcode opens, and an iCloud account that syncs them everywhere. Keep them encrypted on the phone, behind a passcode only you know, and still nice to look back at.
Keep them out of everything else
- Import them into Mavaul and let it delete the originals. Empty Recently Deleted.
- Delete them from the chat they came from, if you don't need them there.
- Give Mavaul a calculator, cat or hot sauce icon if you'd rather the home screen didn't say vault.
Still worth looking at
A vault shouldn't feel like a filing cabinet. Mavaul's viewer works like Photos: swipe, zoom, pull down to close, or let a slideshow play. With Wi-Fi Share you can open them on your own TV, laptop or any device on your Wi-Fi, without uploading anything.
Respect
Only keep photos that were shared with you to keep. If a partner asks you to delete something, delete it from the vault too.
Questions
Are intimate photos safe in iCloud?
They're stored by Apple and sync to every device on your Apple Account. A vault keeps them on the phone, encrypted.
Does Mavaul upload anything?
No. Backups only happen if you turn them on, to your own storage, encrypted first.
