Can you make a private album on iPhone?
Not in Photos. You can't put a password on an album you create. The only locked album is the Hidden album, and it opens with your iPhone passcode or Face ID and syncs with iCloud Photos. For private albums of your own, with their own passcode, use folders in a vault like Mavaul.
What Photos gives you
- Albums you create: never locked.
- Shared albums: shared with the people you invite, stored in iCloud.
- The Hidden album: locked with Face ID or your phone passcode, synced with iCloud Photos.
Private albums in Mavaul
- Import photos and videos into Mavaul. They're encrypted with AES-256 on the iPhone.
- Make a folder for each album.
- Flick through with the viewer, or start a slideshow.
The whole vault opens only with Mavaul's passcode or your Face ID, and nothing is in iCloud Photos.
